Ghanaian musicians storm WORCESTER & MARYLAND

We have definitely reached an era where old school; Highlife meets new school; Hiplife, the current and experienced collaborating to promote Ghanaian music.

Ghanaians in the USA are therefore being presented with two anticipated great events dubbed; The Best of Ghana Music Summer Bash; HighLife, Hip Life and Gospel featuring live performances by mega stars; Obour, A.B Crentsil, Lord Kenya, Kokovilli and Noble Nketsiah.

Scheduled to occur in two states; the event in Worcester, MA is organized by Sky Hi Soundz/ Entertainment in association with Nyce Promotions. It takes place at African Cultural Center, 33 Canterbury St, Worcester, MA on Friday, August 31st 2007. Supporting are US based artistes; Mr Smalls, Dicky D, Estasy and many more. For fans of AB Crentsil, part of the Big 4 of Highlife who had a successful tour previously in the US, this is another opportunity to see him performance live again. The veteran entertainer known for, ye wo adze a oye, Montwe Mma Yen, I Go Pay Tommorrow, Moses, Aboa Onidua, Ma Mendwen Me Ho and many more hits never stop redefining himself. He has collaborated with one of Hiplife's finests and award-winning artiste; Obuor aka Bice Kuffour who shook the world with a hit single; Konkontibaa, backed by a Morris Babyface signature beat. They have released a two 10-track Best of The Lifes Vol. 1 album backed by a nation-wide tour around the country to promote the album, The dynamic duo had been nominated in the Best Collaboration of the Year category at the recent Ghana Music Awards (GMA).

Furthermore fans of Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo Kenya aka Lord Kenya who have not seen his energy charged performance in America would now see the performance they have been waiting for on stage. Lord Kenya has many fans around the world. He is the previous winner of; Hiplife Album of the Year at the Ghana Music Award 2001, Best Ghanaian Rap Music Award at the Anansekrom Festival in Canada 2000. Previous hits credited to him are; Daasebre Gyamenah's hit Kokooko, Oseikrom Anigyie, Fameko, Car naba, Enyom no, Children of Africa, Asabone, Aka esi ani, Born Again, Chompia, Room 44, Baba,Sika baa (money girl), Sika card (money or credit card), Yesom sika (we worship money) and Sika mpo nfa ne ho (loosely translated as we don't really need money) Aka esi ani and Born again featuring Ofori Amponsah and Kofi Nti.

Gospel music fans would not be left out as Award winner of 2006 Gospel album of the year and gospel song of the year, Nobel Nketsia would be performing. Signed to the Family Tree Entertainment (Obour's label), He is known for hits;Yesu Do, released in 2001 and Se Me Tia Se. Noble also had launched a special campaign to raise funds to support street children in the country.

The Megastars head to Maryland after their show in Worcester, MA two days later on Sunday; September 2nd which is the eve of a bank holiday; Labor Day, observed on the first Monday of September. The event organized by David and Big Willy Promotions alongside; Rob Definitions, J Q Promotions and Akwaaba Entertainment is happening at the Sligo Adventist School, 8300 Caroll Ave, Takoma Park, MD, Doors open at 8pm.
