Exciting smiles, good clothes seemed the order of the day as each of
the 245 award winners mounted the stage to be honoured by President J.
A Kufuor at the colourful National Awards ceremony held last Thursday
at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The award winners had distinguished themselves over the years in a broad spectrum of displines of national life.
Among those honoured were 19 players in showbiz. They each received Grand Medals. They are Nana Bosumpra, producer of Osofo Dadzie Drama Group, Adu Kofi Mensah aka Agya Koo, comedian, Efo Kojo Mawugbe, for theatre management and Essilfie Bondzi, music producer.

The rest were muscians Kwabena Yamoah, J.A. Adofo, Asabea Cropper, Thomas Frimpong, Osei Kwabena Kufuor aka Obuor, Amy Newman, Ohemaa Mercy, Christiana Love, Elder Akwesi Mireku, Nii Ashitey, and Efua Dorkenoo.
Also honoured were actors Fred Amugi, McJordan Amartey, George B. Williams and Grace Nortey.
