The management of Bandex Music Productions has denied Peace FM’s report that one of the products of TV3 Mentor, Isaac, on Monday attempted suicide by drinking an overdose of an alcoholic beverage.
The interesting report indicated that Isaac the Showboy had wanted to end his life due to “pressure” from his manager, Ahmed Banda, CEO of Bandex Music Productions, over his lover affair.
Ahmed told DAILY GUIDE in an interview yesterday that the gospel artiste was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital because he was suffering from appendicitis but was discharged yesterday at exactly 1:40pm.
He stated: “This is not the first time the gospel singer has visited the 37 Military Hospital. He had visited the hospital five times. He was operated upon and since then he has been complaining of stomach pains”.
Ahmed hinted that Isaac had never tasted alcohol before in his life and that his visit to the hospital was purely on medical grounds. He told the paper that Isaac has a girlfriend whom he plans to marry, but denied the report that the girl was five months pregnant for Isaac.
According to him, although the girl was close to Isaac and was always with him, she was too young for marriage.
In a chat, Isaac also denied Peace FM’s report and disclosed that after undergoing an appendicitis operation the doctors advised him against eating certain things but he ignored the advice, hence the severe stomachache.
Isaac as well denied impregnating his girlfriend, saying all what was aired on radio were calculated attempts to tarnish his image and career as a musician.
Isaac shot into limelight following his impressive performance at the TV3 Mentor reality show. He was subsequently nicknamed the ‘Showboy’ and was promised a musical contract by Bandex Music Productions. True to its word, Bandex Music signed him onto its record label and successfully promoted his maiden album.
