One of Kumasi’s finest nite clubs Yegoala has suspended its operation with immediate effect. This was made known to Ghana Base Music by the owner, Mr. Tony Yeboah.
He explained that the suspension has become necessary due to complaints by residents around its location and the city authorities of the night club’s disturbance at nights.
“The location is a first class residential area so residents and the metropolitan assembly have been pressurizing me to close down,” he said.
He said the place was originally acquired for the building of a hotel therefore it was important he heeded to their complaints.
This comes days after the manager of the Accra branch of the nite club Mr. Richmond Oduro Kwarteng aka Billy Ocean, decided to quit due some disagreements between him and the owner.
Touching on this issue, Tony said, he rented out the nite club to Billy, a year on he realised that due to certain circumstances beyond his control, he had to add an additional three million cedis to the amount he was initially charging.
When Billy was contacted, for his side of the story, he confirmed it.
“Tony decided to increase the rent and bills by hundred percent, and I thought it was too much for me so I decided to quit,” he said.
He however concluded that he has received many offers from owners’ of other nite clubs and he is thinking about them.
