Ghana Music Star and 1986 National Dance Champion Ebenezer Asare aka Slim Buster will stage a performance this Saturday 31st March 2007 at the Afua Sutherland children’s park as part of the celebrations for the Best Brains@50 Project.

Launching the programme at the Afua Sutherland’s Park, Isaac Nelson who is the event organizer said the Best Brains@50 project would feature a quiz competition for all basic schools in Ghana.

The quiz he said is centred on the ethics, norms and the history of Ghana, before colonialism, through to independence and to the current Republic days of Ghana

“Ghana is 50, and when you do a sample space of 15 kids, you will realize that 10 out of the 15 usually don’t have any formal information about the history of Ghana. This event seeks to inculcate our rich Ghanaian values and History into our children who happen to be the leaders of the next generation. It is relevant to educate children about their country as Ghana celebrates its 50th anniversary”, he said.

He also said though many events have been organized to commemorate Ghana’s 50th Independence Anniversary, most of these programmes are for adults and therefore Best Brains@50 Concert will be meant solely for the kids to enjoy themselves.

The programme Starts @ 8am.

Slim Busterr who believes this is his widow’s might as a contribution to Ghana’s 50th Anniversary celebrations said he will take the kids who will make it to the programme through a series of dance lessons.

Slim Busterr entered the music industry in 1986, after he won the 1986 National Dance Championship competition.

He later left the shores of Ghana for UK, to study music and sound engineering.

On his return to Ghana, Slim Busterr decided take up music as a full time job, hence he established his own recording studio at Darkuman Junction in Accra.

Slim Buster celebrated 20 years of being in the music industry with a live musical performance at the Next Door Beach Resort last December.
