AS PART of Ghana's Golden Jubilee celebration activities, the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) organised a series of highlife, hiplife and gospel musical concerts in all ten regions of the country to enhance the celebration.
The concerts featured highlife legends as C.K. Mann, the indefatigable Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy, F. Kenya and the likes in live performances.
The event was sponsored by One Touch. According to the executives of MUSIGA, the concerts were used as a medium to convey goodwill messages to the people of Ghana, and to also ensure everybody was involved in the Jubilee celebrations.
In the Western Region, the concerts featured the likes of Safohene Djene, K.K Kabobo, C.K. Mann, F. Kenya among others; the northern regions attracted a large number of music lovers and tourists to witness the event, which featured musicians like Fuseini Kia.
The Volta regional capital witnessed hiplife stars like Chicago, Ex-Doe and others, who rocked the entire venue with music from their old and current albums.
On one stage and on one night, these hiplife artistes gave a new meaning to the jubilee celebrations by getting everybody involved. The audience also took to the stage and did their own thing when Chicago took his turn on stage to give a live performance of his song titled, "Wobeko".
King David, Kofi Sammy, Adane Best and a host of others who stormed the Eastern Regional capital thrilled fans with their melodious songs from their current CD albums.
The concerts were graced by officials from the Ghana @ 50 Secretariat and OneTouch, people from all walks of life, regional ministers as well as district chief executives.
