SOUND ENGINEERS of Ghana are hardly known internationally, and the system bemoans their scarcity.
JQ is however, not only earning international recognition gradually; the good news is he is not alone.
Another equally good sound engineer, Emmanuel Nana Agyeman, aka Ajingo, is following closely on his heels and has indeed been very instrumental in his success all this while.
Ajingo, special assistant to Jay Q, has worked on many songs like King David’s “Tsi Obenke Mi’, Bak Tye’s, “Yen Tem”, Triple M’s “Black Queens”.
He has been of service to other artistes like Tic Tac, A-Plus, Kay Gee (US), Sexy B Clay (US), Daniel (Germany) Tony Harmony (Nigeria), Bola (Nigeria), Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Nti, K.K. Fosu, 4x4, Buk Bak, 3%, Los Kay, Castro, V.I.P, ABCD, Obrafour, Nkasei, Ofutu4, Nate and more. He had worked as well in Slim Busterr’s studio and with the Q Lex Entertainment family. Being smallish, most fans of Jay Q are probably unaware of the fact that Ajingo is such a strong backbone of Jay Q.
It is noteworthy that if jama beats from Ghana have earned some recognition in the music world, the instrumentality of Jay Q’s Ajingo cannot be overstated.
Though such a successful beat player, he’s nevertheless yet to be a star and has been with Jay Q for the past five years, strictly as only a hardworking professional.
Worthy of mention still, Jay Q and Ajingo are both instrumentalists at the Resurrection Power & Living Bread International, where Jay Q plays the keyboard, while Ajingo does his own thing on the drums.
Ajingo has really come a long way, and is definitely bound to rise to super stardom so long as he maintains his current tempo.
