For those who were at the National Theatre on December 22 the Night of 1005 Laughs and Music will remain one of the best stress-relieving shows ever organized.
The event, which attracted thousands of comedy fans from all walks of life, reached its peak when top Nigerian comedians were called one after the other to entertain fans.
Right from when the comedians stepped on stage to the time they went backstage the laughter simply would not stop. One feature that characterized this year’s Night of 1005 Laughs and Music was the roar of laughter that vibrated through the auditorium right from the beginning to the end of the show.
People were happy to witness another historic performance by Klint the Drunk, whose performance was superb.
Klint and his colleagues wowed their fans with seemingly endless rib-cracking jokes, leaving their audience yearning for more.
Performing alongside the comedians was the controversial A-Plus, the sensational duo Irene and Jane, Gyedu Blay Ambulley and a host of others.
Good old Ambulley performed wonderfully to the admiration of the audience. He was the toast of the night as he thrilled fans with his unique dance steps.
Dressed to kill, Ambulley was supported by talented bandsmen, who were also a delight to watch.
The Night of 1005 Laughs and Music also witnessed the performances of Julius D’Genius Agwu and Jeddi, aka Michael Blankson.
The programme was sponsored by MTN, Star Lager Beer, Erata Hotel and TV3.
