Two prolific personalities were called to represent Ghana at one of Africa's most prominent entertainment awards, the third edition of "Stars of the African Cultural Integration" (S.I.C.A), an event which gathers nominees from African countries in a competition; through their artists and their presenters who inhale the cultural patrimony of their country.
Abeiku Santana an outstanding Radio and TV personality who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communications Limited, a vibrant advertising and event Management Agency in Accra was honorably invited as the master of ceremony representing Ghana at S.I.C.A 2007 held in Benin. His astounding flair on Radio, TV and the numerous grand shows he has mastered has not only won the hearts of Ghanaians but also been recognized across the borders of Ghana as one character poised with talent when it comes to hosting events.
He is also rated among Ghana's hottest radio personalities and presently the host of "Ofiekwanso" on Adom FM a subsidiary of multimedia Group and also the presenter for MTN FUSION, a music chart and entertainment magazine show on TV3.
Accompanying him was Elivava, one of Ghana’s most talented Afro Pop female artistes; who was also nominated to represent Ghana at SICA 2007 in Benin. Elivava also known as Tina Mensah has worked with various artistes as a backing vocalist; some of the top artistes on whose album she has featured are Kojo Antwi, Pat Thomas, Samini, D.L and many more. She also performs live at jazz clubs, State functions and has won the hearts of many jazz lovers and Afro Pop fans.
SICA aims at accompanying those that fight to make African integration a reality and those who make culture their preoccupation. It is believed that one of the shortest roads to this integration of African Continent is culture that is everybody always becomes identified by its culture.
The other initiative of SICA is to outdoor African Culture Integration and to open more business avenues within the entertainment industry in Africa.
Abeiku Santana raised the flag of Ghana high by winning the 2nd Best African presenter for the category in which he was nominated and Elivava’s performance was just great and caught the attention of the audience present.
