The liberation of the airwaves, has uncovered hidden talents in radio broadcasting, one dynamic Presenter, who has carved a niche for himself in the ancient capital of Ghana, Cape Coast is Malik Razmy of Radio Valco 95.3 FM.
What most listeners in and around Cape Coast love about Malik, is his style of presentation and music selection, as well as his personal identification jingle. "Malik, Malik tia adze noso na yenko se ate"which literally means Malik step on the thing and let's get moving.
Born in the mid 70's,Malik had his basic education in Cape Coast and continued at Ghana National College for his "O" and "A" levels.
He also studied Broadcast Journalism at the Radio Broadcast Development Foundation (Rabodef) and the Ghana Institute of Journalism (G.I.J).
Malik, has been working with Radio Valco for the last seven years and he is currently the programme's manager of the station. He is the host of Cruise Control, which is a Drive time programme, from 4pm to 8pm and Sunday Delight, from 11am to 1pm."My first day on air was my worse day on radio,” he said.
Apart from radio, he also master ceremonies and is currently designing an entertainment programme for a television station. He is a Muslim and in a serious relationship, which would hopefully lead to marriage.
Malik, if not the best, is definitely one of the favourite radio Presenters in Cape Coast, and receives warm reception wherever he goes.
