Radio presenting in Ghana can be viewed as one of the highly respected careers in recent times. Newsreading is one aspect considered as a hard task especially with the local newscasters.
One of such men who have really made it big in the Ashanti Region is Nana Bobie Ansah of Hello 102.1 fm.
He is not only a newscaster but also the host of their morning show which is also broadcast live on Peace fm in Accra and other affiliate stations in the country.
He studied Theology at the Shiloh Theological Center in Kumasi for six years which got him into radio presenting in 2002 at Ashanti Mampong’s Mighty fm as a Gospel presenter where he worked for two years. He descended down from the Ashanti Region to the Tema based radio station Meridian fm as a Twi newscaster, morning show translator and a gospel presenter. He decided to move back to his origin and worked with Luv fm as a morning show Twi translator, newscaster and a gospel presenter on weekends.
Nana Bobie was later poached from Luv fm to the Aseda house based radio station Kessben fm but due to circumstances he refused to disclose to the Weekly Fylla, he had to part ways with Kessben fm after a short term in office. Months after is resignation, Despite Group of Companies employed him and he started working for Peace fm in Accra and after some time he was transferred to Hello fm a sister station of Peace 104.3 fm.
In Hello fm he stands as the anchor man for the morning show whenever the host T.K is absent. He is a full time radio presenter and does nothing apart from radio presenting. His message to the youth who want to be like him is they should work very hard and stay away from immoral social vices.
