Mr. George Yaw Owusu, popularly known in the Ghanaian music industry as George Forest, is undoubtedly one of the best engineers in the music scene today.

However, what many of his fans do not know is that apart from playing various musical instruments and recording music, he is also a good singer.

Presently, he is about to come out with his maiden album, titled “Akatape Special” which is a combination of hiplife and highlife compositions.

Forest who has been in the music industry over the past 25 years is currently working as the chief engineer and instrumentalist with the Owoahene Recording Studio, owned by a prolific highlife musician, Nana Acheampong.

George Forest who started his music carrier at the tender age of 12, later became a member of the Mo Maria Gospel Band in Kumasi. He was also leader of Mark Adehyea Band and worked extensively for Kokoroko Band.

George Forest was the brain behind the production of Osoro Abuburo gospel song released by the Kumasi Suame Pentecost Band.

Some of the popular and great musicians he has worked with so far include the late Akwasi Ampofo Adjei, Asebu Amanfi, Nana Acheampong, Alex Konadu, Thomas Frimpong, Charles Amoah among others.
