The judges have decided .... and it is final. The 12 wannabe music stars for the “Stars of the Future” TV reality show have been named.
From now till the early part of August, each of these 12 finalists will be featured on GTV and Metro TV to begin the search for the next Irene Logan.
Whoever emerges the 2007 music star, will drive away a sleek saloon car presented by universal Motors Ltd, a recording contract and other attractive prizes. This year’s search for the music star appears to have been one tall order for the judges. Out of the hundreds who auditioned to be music stars, it turned out that the initial plan to select 12 semifinalists after the first shortlisting proved futile. As many as 25 came through as very good.
It is for this reason that last week Thursday at the National Theatre, the 25 were one more time invited to another audition session to select 12 semifinalists of the competition.
Difficult as it seemed after several hours, judges, Nana King, Bibie Brew and Zapp Mallet had to come out with 12 names.
And when they did, their score sheet listed Ishmael Koranteng, Daniel Adobaw, Sandra Audrey Huson, Fredricka Sarfo-Asante, Justice Owen, Benjamin Akill, Clare N. Asigri, Ernest Darkwa, Isaac Nortey, Noble Nii Nortey Nortey, Daniel Twum Barima and Betty Osei as semifinalists.
“Stars of the Future” is another exclusive concept by Charterhouse and sponsored by Areeba, Universal Motors Ltd, Western Union, Close – up, Castle Milk Stout, GTV and Metro TV.
