STAR ALVIN Slaughter is well-known for dynamic worship and praise songs that transform lives anywhere he goes, but his debut in Ghana has more to it than that.
The star is expected to use a gig he would be performing at the National Theatre in Accra on Saturday May 19, to raise funds to support a number of lepers in Ghana.
The concert would be dubbed, “Building His Kingdom”, to unify Ghanaians while helping to create a platform for benevolent contributions to Father Campbell’s Leper’s Aid Committee - a lepers’ home.
Alvin would be supported by some of Ghana’s gospel stars as Nii Okai, Danny Nartey, Rev Yawson, Tagoe sisters and many more.
The former lead vocalist of multiple GRAMMY award- wining Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir would arrive in Ghana first week in May. Around the world, he is noted for his cross-cultural songs and smooth blend of gospel and contemporary Christian music. This creates a style that is uniquely his.
During the night of worship and praise, he would sing songs from his album titles as Champion of love, Revive us again, God Can, Yes, Rain Down and On the inside as well as The Faith Life to prove his style. Aside, he would sing The Blood, Shout to the Lord, Glory to the King and many more songs.
Most of these songs are not only inspiring and interesting but have danceable tunes which patrons would enjoy.
The concert, organized by World "O" Dreams Co. Ltd. and Kemp Ghana Ltd is supported by the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Westec Security, Classic Limousine, Christian Action Faith Ministries and Mastermix Studios Ltd.
Advance tickets are available at Citi 97.3 FM, Sunny FM, and TV3.
