THE PRESIDENT of the Central Ghana Conference of the SDA Church, Pastor Emmanuel Denteh, has urged Christians to compose and sing songs that could bring total relief to people, change society and save perishing souls.
Christian youth singers, he said, could speak to people with Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs while they sang and made melody in their heart to the lord.
Making the call at the 12th biennial convention of the Mampong Zone of the Ghana Adventists Choir Union at Ntonso in the Kwabre district on Saturday, Pastor Denteh who spoke on the topic: “Music acceptable to God”, stressed that through Gospel music, the country could win people who feared God.
Music, he said, was very important in human life, hence very competitive. He therefore urged Christian youth singers to do their best to improve Gospel Music lest it be dominated by other types of music.
Egging them on to compose songs that would help curb social evils in the country, Pastor Denteh further urged Christian singers to dress more decently so that their songs could portray the Christ in them and attract more people to the Kingdom of God.
As well, he exhorted the youth to fight hard to unearth and make good use of their talents, as their means to success in life.
On this note, he advised Christians to get closer to God through prayers, hymns, praises and thanksgiving.
