Ghanaian Hiplife Artist Kwaw Kese, last week thrilled guests at the Miss Koforidua Polytechnic beauty pageant to the best of his hiplife tunes.
As the special guest music artiste of the programme, Rap artiste, Kwaw Kesse’s creative rapping added great spice to the night and brought the students dancing and singing along with him as he did some of his popular hiplife songs.
Kwaw Kese performed to the admiration of the expectant audience at the Eredec hotel with all his hit songs both on his new and old albums.
Ten beautiful ladies, almost all level 100 students, vied for the ultimate, Miss K’dua Poly (2007) while eight strong men (students) participated in the weight-lifting competition.
The programme, coordinated by Hardlink, an event organiser, passed as one of the most successful entertainment programmes organised by the SRC.
The final three ladies were given topical questions to answer and clearly, 23-year-old former student of OLA Girls Secondary School at Ho, Miss Loveland Yayra White who displayed abundant talent and intelligence was crowned “Miss K'dua”.
Miss White, who is a level 100 student offering statistics, eventually grabbed the crown.
The new Miss K’dua, expressing happiness over being crowned Miss K’dua, said she would use her new position to encourage women, especially students of the polytechnic to leave their “shell” and rub shoulders with their male counterparts.
