Tired of waiting for event organisers to stage shows before artistes can perform, Samini’s management team has decided to do their own thing and organize a show for the artiste.
Samini’s transition will be celebrated on the 22nd of December at the La Palm Royal Beach along with the celebration of his 26th birthday and a launch of his new album.
The 14 track album features an eclectic array of music styles: highlife, reggae, dancehall and even soca. On that same night, there will be performances by Kwaw Kesse, Bandana, Wutah and Paapa Yankson.
Mada Rocker, an artist based in the US will fly down just to perform with Samini.
The MOBO plaque Samini picked up in London a few months ago will finally be unveiled on the night. It has been kept hidden for all this while just to keep his fans in suspense.
If you don’t get invited or can’t get tickets to the La Palm show, you are in luck.
Samini promises another open air live show for all and sundry at the Trade Fair Center, La on the 23rd of December. His fans in Oseikrom are not left. He will represent live at the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi.
Samini will use the concerts to raise funds for his NGO, which aims at drawing attention to the plight of sickle cell patients. He has already been around various hospitals to visit a number of children with sickle cell. Lawrencia Duah, Samini’s publicist says the concerts will be “the bomb... Unpredictable!”
