To grow within an industry which is always competing is no mean task and this young man’s career has grown past the widest imagination of his critics. He is one fine musician whose silky-smooth and clear voice is interesting to listen to.
His talent is singing quite sensational making any song he does to stand out as being good.
Since 2000 when he was discovered into the music industry through a collaboration he did with Batman and Kokoveli, Kwame Kaakyire Fosu has climbed his way through the music ladder from that debut album “Sudwe”.
From that debut album, his second release ‘Anadwo Yede’ was also an improvement has he grew stronger from there. He is vivacious in nature when it comes to making the stage his own. He has sine his debut album won awards to add up to his achievement. In 2004, he won the best male artiste at the Ghana music awards in UK and as also been nominated for a number of awards at the Ghana music awards.
K. K. Fosu is currently working on his third Album. He is set to be coming out with a huge squad now, talking about the D-camp back with something huge and explosive concerning his new album which is titled ‘Six O’clock’. It looks like K.K. Fosu is doing is own thing and that means one must understand, he is not talking about free-style but rather D-Style, which is the unique way he is taking Ghana music to another level. Born on the 14th February, 1981 to Mr. and Mrs. Kwamena Fosu, K.K. Fosu keeps making it big in the music industry.
K.K. Fosu confirms that ‘as at now my focus is temporarily on my new album which will be released by the end of this month. I am also concentrating on the D-camp which is going to depict more about me and the different styles I am going to bring out. This is because, I believe I am grown and improved tremendously, and need to send out a new image to the public and my fans out there’. As a musician, he believes that this is the only medium he has to help upcoming artiste to learn.
As to whether he is no more collaborating with Ofori Amponsah, Barosky and Kofi Nti, K.K. corroborate that, ‘I am is at the moment concentrating fully on my new album and so I am not going to a collaboration with them for a while.’ K.K. Fosu refers to his album as him and everything about him ‘this is the actual signature of K.K Fosu’s life story, which is executively produced by Wild Wild Studios. The album has nine tracks on cassette and twelve on CDs.
To talk about his smooth, clear and silky voice that cannot be misplaced any where as long as he opens is mouth and makes the words flow. His talent goes beyond singing since he can as well rap. His sensational way of making any music his own, leaves much to be desired any time he opens his mouth to sing.
But the issue here is that will people accept K.K. Fosu’s come back image with the D-style? Can he really make t with the new artiste trouping into the industry each day? Can he make it below his standard? The songster is indeed in a dilemma as to how, he is going to the top with all these challenges going to come his way.
