With the exception of the fact that the spinners were late (aren’t they always?), last Friday’s exhibition of hip-hop talent at the W.E.B. Dubois Center was a bit on the RAW side.
The word ‘underground’ would be a complete understatement of the event. The turnout was below expectation, but then again, how many underground rappers know the Dubois center?
All breeds of contestants were there and we only pray that for the next event, there will be a better show of talent. There were a total of 5 contestants aiming to be knighted that day.

The race was keenly contested by Mark Dubious and our only Anglophone rapper on the microphone, Chico. When the war was over, Chico emerged the second of the two knights and gospel rapping D-2 took the first position.
