His real name is Kofi Mensah Abronpa and according to him, his Christian name is Kofi Botswe Emmanuel. Since his appearance of Obrafour’s Execution diary compilation at a very young age, Agona Swedru born hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese of “Oye Nonsense” fame has been widely regarded as an artiste who is set to change the face of hiplife to the next level with well thought out lyrics.
The mystery behind his artistic name Kwaw Kese is that the young rapper said he inherited it from a great grandfather who was as crazy and stubborn as he is. He believes he is the result of that man’s reincarnation.
Known for his unique rap delivery and his stylish Swedru Fante rap Kwaw Kese always leaves an impression with the kind of works he uses. His first appearance was “Oye nonsense” which people thought was off the hook.
It was followed by his first album “Naya Tal” his own version of Fat Joe’s “Lean Back” the ladies could not stand the sound of this creative tune.
Presently the unpredictable rap gem is out with his second album titled “Odem” and that is what he’s been identified with for some time now.
In Ghana’s hiplife world, we always see artiste releasing albums one after the other and this is the time that Kwaw Kese is about to gain more respect and longetivity with his upcoming album titled “Odem” a ten track album which has artiste like Jagoo, Batman, Obro, 2Tuff, Chorus and Nana Ama.
Kwaw Kese defines the new album as the other side of hiplife which he calls hip-hop in Twi.
Funny enough of all the new artistes who were featured on the “Execution Diary” Kwaw Kese is the only artiste who has been able to survive with consistent his album releases.
