Barosky’s name became a household name in Ghana’s Hiplife and Contemporary Highlife music circles after the release of Kofi Nti’s Rakia and Ofori Amponsah’s Otoolege.
After a controversial argument with his former camp-mate Ofori Amponsah over monies owed him and also for the fact that he had been featuring on people’s songs too much, Barosky quit the camp and went solo.
After struggles upon struggles, he managed to put his acts together to come up with his debut album Okyerewaa Ba.
The 10-track album opens with Okyerewaa Ba, the album title, in a slow-tempo vein.
It is a love song using a fusion of raga and jama beats in which Barosky is clearly heard at his “raga-chanting” best singing about his undying love for a lady he refers to as “Maame Okyerewaa Ba.”
The songs on the album were arranged by Appietus and features a crop of up and coming artistes including Mentor I contestant, Martin.
The Album has 10 tracks on CD and 8 tracks on cassette.
